Great Event Spaces in Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City is one of the gems of the American West, a booming city that’s frequently ranked as one of the best places to live in the country. Whether you’re a local, a new arrival, or just here on a trip, there’s so much to do in SLC that it’s hard to keep up – especially if you’re trying to put together an event.
So let’s talk about some of our favorite event venues in the area, who they’re for, and what makes them so great.
Five Event Spaces in Salt Lake City That Your Attendees Will Love
1 – The State Room in Central City
Often overlooked as a rentable venue, the State Room is constantly considered one of SLC’s best locations for live music – which means it’s also a great option for any party or gathering that will feature a live DJ or band. Wedding receptions, corporate parties, and more can all be hosted here. With a maximum capacity of 299 (plus staff), it’s a great mid-sized option that can host a large party without feeling like a massive cavern of a hall.
2 – Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper
Draper is a bit of a drive, but it’s worth it for the Loveland Aquarium. The aquarium itself is full of undersea delights, including an absolutely massive 300,000-gallon shark tank that’s guaranteed to amaze anyone who comes. The good news is that it can be rented out as well, and it’s an amazing location for get-togethers for people of any age. Young or old, everyone will be entranced by the sea life surrounding the party you set up.
3 – Clark Planetarium (Downtown)
Instead of going undersea, why not go way way up? The Clark Planetarium celebrates the skies above and humanity’s push towards the stars. It features the planetarium itself, along with a 3D Imax theater, permanent exhibits, and more. This would be an amazing location for a tech-focused corporate gathering or expo or a birthday party for space-obsessed kids.
4 – Log Haven in Wasatch National Forest
On the other hand, why not get away from it all? Log Haven is an acclaimed restaurant nestled in the middle of Wasatch Forest, making for (we think) the single most beautiful eatery in the country – especially at night! You can eat surrounded by trees and waterfalls, creating a serene setting for a more laid-back event. Plus, why visit a planetarium when you’re far enough outside the city to see the stars directly?
5 – Boondocks in Draper and Kaysville
If your event is going to be fun, it needs to be at Boondocks! We’re the premiere restaurant in Utah, with two locations full of games, activities, and amazing food. Minigolf, bumper cars, laser tag, arcade games – there’s truly something for everyone, and people of all ages. Even adults love our selection of attractions, not to mention our well-stocked bar.
